is a Senior External Associate of the firm. He has more than fifteen years of professional practice and has specialized in the areas of customs law, administrative, judicial and contentious-administrative litigation. He has provided legal advice and consultancy to different public and private institutions in the country in matters of civil and customs law. He also has extensive experience in administrative proceedings before the Customs and Administrative Tax Court (TATA).

He has a degree in Law from the Catholic University of Nicaragua “Redemptoris Mater” and has the title of Attorney and Notary Public by the Supreme Court of Justice of Nicaragua. He completed a Diploma in “Economic Integration and Customs Union” taught by the Secretariat of Economic Integration, a Diploma in “Tax Harmonization of the Framework of the Customs Union” taught by the Secretariat of Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) and the Directorate General of Customs Services (DGA) and a Diploma in Customs Valuation of Goods, also the Secretariat of Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) and the Directorate General of Customs Services (DGA).

He was an official of the Civil Court V of the District of Managua (1996-1997), National Supervisor of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (MINED) from 1998 to 1999, Legal Advisor of the Mayor’s Office of Managua (2000-2002), Legal Advisor of the General Direction of Customs Services and Responsible of the Department of Legal Advice of the Customs Administration in the Department of Managua (2001-2006), Legal Management Lawyer of Premia/Banpro, part of the PROMÉRICA Group (2006-2012), and Trial Lawyer: Civil, Recovery of Civil Portfolio, Commercial Trials, Contentious-Administrative Processes, Family Trials, and administrative processes in customs matters (2016 to date).

He has taught customs and banking law at the Catholic University of Nicaragua “Redentoris Mater”.

His professional activities include the following positions:

– Official of the Civil Court V in Managua;

– National Supervisor of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports;

– Legal Advisor to the Mayor’s Office of Managua;

– Legal Advisor to the Banco de la Producción; and

– Legal Advisor to the General Directorate of Customs Services.

– In the area of teaching, he has carried out the following activities Professor of Customs Law; and Professor of Banking Law.
