Belisario Castillo Sáenz: Senior Partner. Attorney at Law since the year 2000, he specializes in the areas of Corporate Law, Banking and Trust Law, Asset Protection, Intellectual Property, Investment and Collateral Structuring, especially in banking and trust issues. He specializes in banking and trust law with emphasis on strategic planning and asset protection.

He studied his undergraduate degree at the Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua, and in 2000 he obtained a degree in Law and Political Science.

In 2003 he completed a Master’s Degree in Commercial Law at the Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua.

In 2005 he completed a Diploma in International Commercial Law at the College of Mount St. Vincent, Fordham University extension, NY, USA.

In the year 2010 he finished his studies in Prevention of Money Laundering, obtaining the International Certificate in Prevention of Money Laundering (CP/AML) granted by Florida Banking Association and Florida International University.

In his professional practice he has been an in-house lawyer for important banking institutions such as Banco Aliado, Bavivienda and Unibank.

He has received the following distinctions:

Member of the Drafting Committee of the Organic Law of Banco Nacional de Panama (2006).

  1. Secretary of the Board of Directors of Banco Nacional de Panama from 2007-2010.
  2. President of the Santeña Friends of Baseball Foundation for 2010-2011.
  3. President of the Organizing Committee of the Latin American Congress of Financial Law (COLADE 2015) sponsored by the Latin American Federation of Banks.
  4. Member of the Legal Committee of the Panamanian Association of Banks.
