Lawyer since 2004 in the areas of Corporate and Business Law, with emphasis on organization, incorporation, mergers and acquisitions of companies; foreign investments, financial and international business contracts, tax law in general, mediation and arbitration. She obtained her law degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the American University in Managua and the titles of Attorney and Notary Public from the Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic of Nicaragua. She is a Legal Letter Magister (LL.M) in International Law (International Legal Studies) from Georgetown University Law School in Washington, D.C., United States of America and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the International University of La Rioja in Spain.

Prior to joining Signature Regional Law Firm, she held the following positions:

– Legal Advisor for Investment Promotion to Nicaragua part of the multidisciplinary team formed by the Central American countries and the Dominican Republic, for the implementation of the strategy to achieve the ratification of the DR-CAFTA by the Congress of the United States of America (2004-2005) in Washington DC, 

– Legal Analyst for International Operations of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) in Tegucigalpa Honduras, (2005-2008)

– Associated to the Corporate Affairs Department of LEGIS, (2008-2015);

– Partner Director of Corporate Affairs and Intellectual Property of the Firm LEGIS, (2015-2018)

She has been involved in important international projects such as:

–Part of the multidisciplinary team formed by the Central American countries and the Dominican Republic, for the implementation of the strategy to achieve the ratification of the DR-CAFTA by the Congress of the United States of America.

– As Legal Analyst for International Operations of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE), she participated in the structuring of bond issues and commercial paper that said institution carried out in countries such as Colombia, Japan, Ireland and the United States of America, among others.

– She participated as a legal consultant in the research team in the research project called: “Regulatory Framework applicable to MSMEs in Nicaragua. This research was developed in the framework of the “Support Program for the Improvement of the Business and Investment Climate in Nicaragua (PRAMECLIN), financed by European Union funds.

– She was a legal consultant for the Pilot Project of Microleasing for the agro-industrial sector in Nicaragua, financed by the Swiss Foundation for Technical Development Cooperation (Swisscontact), with resources from the “Swiss Capacity Building Facility”.

She has participated in different trade and social organizations, among which are

– She was a member of the International Law Association of Georgetown University;

– She was a member of the “International Law Association (ILA)”, based in London, UK.
